the idea behind the project

If there is one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that tastes differ. cuisine is something that everyone in the world can talk about and where they can bring something to the table. it is a deep human need and a way to express cultural specialties.

You might have recognized that we at Rosendahl Nextrom have a faible for cuisine and wine. That is why we have combined our international locations with their culinary specialties to present you with this very tasty regional cookbook. We’ve asked our cooking enthusiasts all around the world to contribute typical dishes from their region or country. The result were so many recipes, we just couldn’t decide on the best ones. So now you have 68 pages worth of culinary discoveries by people who enjoy sharing their secret ingredients with you.

why are we doing this?

We are more than technology and engineering. When we meet, we try to establish a connection with our partners and customers.

Our customers appreciate the human touch when working with us. We try to make you feel at home when you are visiting one of our sites in Austria, Finland, or Romania. We know how to enjoy a good glass of Styrian wine and we value a perfectly cooked dinner. 

So, making a cookbook was a logical step for us. Yes, we construct and produce battery machines, equipment for your cable production, or whole plants for your optical fiber production. But most of all we are your partner and we want to make you successful.

Most of us know the USA for fast food and soft drinks. But there is a whole lot more to discover if you take a closer look. Our colleagues from Georgia and North Carolina added some traditional meals. With southern pecan chicken salad and famous chocolate chip cookies.

The swiss kitchen is, like their languages, a melting pot of influences. French, German, and Italian, all in one spot. Alain Giraud is our Sales Director for Optical Fiber Machines. He is also a connoisseur and knows how to surprise our taste buds with filet mignon with a french potato gratin and cauliflower soup.

Meat, goulash, and royal influence from the old Austrian-Hungarian empire. Of course, Vienna is famous for the Schnitzel, originally with veal. But Austria also has a lot more to offer. Our colleagues from the headquarter in Pischelsdorf bring you pumpkin soup, cheese dumplings, a roasted goose, Tafelspitz, venison goulash, and of course Kaiserschmarren as a desert.

The Romanian cuisine is a very special mixture of west and east. Hungary meets Turkey at the Balkan. Our colleagues from the production unit serve tasty cheese-sticks as a snack, start with meatball soup and finish off with some tasty cabbage rolls and slow roasted pork belly.

Wide country and wild animals meet haute cuisine. Reindeer is only one of the various ingredients typical for this northern kitchen. Our colleagues from Marketing, Sales and Engineering contributed fine traditional dishes: Cured salmon, rice porridge, cinnamon rolls and a nice blue berry pie.

Home of the curry. The indian cuisine is famous for its rich flavour and traditional spice mixtures. Almost every family has their own recipie for curry. Renu Adlakha shares her special version of a funnel cake and royal cottage cheese in curry.

Due to the many different climate zones, the cuisine also is very diverse. It was difficult for Yao Haoyi and Bo Luo to find some typical dishes. They found some we might all know from restaurants, but here you find the original family recipe directly from China for fried egg rice and sweet sour pork.
