welcome to our mixtapes
When you see this page, you found our mixtape. Congratulation. Enjoy to this special moment.
In the 80s and early 90s, nothing said “I care for you” more than making a mixtape. Putting together a playlist with your most favorite songs took a long time. Sitting in front of the radio, waiting for the song to start, hoping for the host not to talk too long or too soon.
It represented personal value, took time and showed effort. The feeling of putting the cassette into the player for the first time, pressing play and waiting for the first song.
Excitement. Anticipation.
In today’s busy and hectic world, we sometimes miss that kind of effort, thoughtfulness and anticipation. With this special present you are holding in your hands, we want to bring back these memories. Make you think about music again.
Taste. Fandom. Memories.
Music means something to everyone. We can discuss personal favorites, likes and dislikes for a long time and everyone is right. At least this is what we felt when putting together this tape.
There is no right or wrong kind of taste in music. Only different ones.
Nice thought, isn’t it?

Marina Amplatz | John Farnham | You’re the voice | September, 1986 | 05:00 | This song was on an 80’s mix tape my parents played on repeat during our annual 8 hour (!) car drive to our holiday destination. The melody and the lyrics merged into my DNA. |
Marina Amplatz | Colosseum | Tomorrow’s Blues | 1970 | 06:37 | This song represents the time when I deeply dived into the world beyond mainstream pop music. It was a truly inspirational time where I discovered the power of music. |
Aman Arora | Yves Larock | Rise Up | October 15, 2007 | 02:50 | I love how this song perfectly captures the exhilaration of reaching for the impossible & empowering feeling of conquering it! |
Christian Arzt | Queen | Don’t Stop me now | January 26, 1978 | 03:29 | simply cool |
Liliana Barbulov | Voltaj | 20 de ani | 2015 | 03:25 | The song represents all the care free moments I had in my 20’s, as the song says, when I was 20 without money and without worries |
Kevin Boll | Pink Floyd | Time | March 10, 1973 | 07:05 | I like the song because the lyrics are an accurate representation of life describing youth as a time of boundless time and freedom to the rat race of adulthood. It makes me think about how time is precious and should be valued as such. |
Vanja Boltek | Elton John | Tiny Dancer | April 28, 1971 | 06:17 | All the beautiful and not so nice memories that have shaped me 🙂 |
Gernot Bonner | Gansch & Pixner | Lou | April 29, 2022 | 05:54 | The most difficult and the most beautiful time of my life: Long before our twins Valentin and Lorenz were born, 14 weeks prematurely, a joint concert evening was planned. “Gansch & Pixner“ at the Konzerthaus Vienna. This became a distant prospect when Valtentin died, 2 weeks after birth. Lorenz’s condition was medically hopeless. The decision to attend the concert alone was difficult – the song ”Lou“ got stuck in my head. Lorenz – still in a critical condition – was accompanied intensively by us. The playlist we had created with “Lou” constantly played in the background. After 107 days he was allowed to leave the hospital. The rest is another story. |

Alain Giraud | Twenty One Pilots | Stressed out | April 17, 2015 | 03:22 | My younger son, Alex, took drum lessons for some years and I attended to all the many lessons. He started to be good when he played on “Stressed out” ; That was a special moment for me to be with him listening to this. Since then I often listen and will see them in Concert soon. |
