Electric mobility has become an integral part of our everyday lives and is indispensable in many areas.
The trend towards sustainable mobility is also becoming increasingly noticeable in education and in the professional environment. Targeted support, both at school and in the workplace, makes it easier for many to get started with this complex topic.
In 2018, HTL Weiz laid the foundation for a very special e-kart project. After almost 5 years of development, the first e-kart prototype E²MILY-01 has now been presented to sponsors, teachers and students and graduates of HTL Weiz.
For the product presentation, the students were also able to welcome Georg Knill, President of IV-Austria and the Board of Trustees of HTL Weiz, Wolfgang Kern from the Ministry of Education and Petra Pieber, Head of Department of the Eastern Styria Education Region.

BM-Rosendahl supports students with know-how and technology
As one of the main sponsors, we were not only able to participate directly in the project, but also to see the impressive results for ourselves on site. We are particularly pleased that we were able to support the students with our know-how in the assembly of lithium-ion batteries. On our in-house laser welding system, the process parameters were developed and validated and the special wiring of the battery module was realised.
On Wednesday, 25.05.2022, the e-kart is presented to the public as part of the opening of the Ortsstraße Weiz. We congratulate all those involved and wish them every success in the further development steps.
