In the fast-paced world of lithium-ion battery production, safety is paramount. In the event of a thermal runaway, conditions escalate rapidly: temperatures can soar to 1,000°C, fires spread quickly, energy is released intensely, and dense smoke develops within moments. In such scenarios, every second truly counts.
The Evacuation Box emerges as a crucial tool, designed to reduce risks and ensure a secure working environment. With its robust design and versatile features, the Evacuation Box is an indispensable asset in lithium-ion battery production.

Floodable
Container
The work table can be lowered into a waterproof container, where it can be flooded.
Manual Hydraulic System
Independent from external power sources, the table is brought into the right height position using a manual hydraulic system.
Emergency Lowering Mechanism
In the face of danger, operators can swiftly lower the work table along with the product into the container with a simple push of a button.
Water Filling Capability
For added safety measures, the container can be filled with water to control a lithium-ion battery fire effectively.

Recognizing the diverse needs of our customers, an optional permanent water filling feature is available. This configuration is ideal for handling particularly risky products or exhaustive battery testing until failure.

Easy Removal
The entire box can be easily
evacutated from the building by trained personnel. It is equipped with guide rails for forklift compatibility or can get its own set of wheels.
in case of a thermal event
To validate our Evacuation Box under realistic conditions, we conducted a series of controlled fire tests in collaboration with the Green Testing Lab. Four battery modules – two equipped with prismatic cells and two with cylindrical cells – were subjected to targeted thermal stress. Using a heating plate, each module was gradually heated to 180°C, deliberately triggering a thermal event that led to self-ignition, as expected.
Two evacuation scenarios were tested for each module:
- Lowering the module into apre-flooded Evacuation Box
- Evacuation combined with simultaneous flooding of the container
