New milestone in LSOH performance
In recent years, LSOH has gained significant importance as safety requirements and regulatory demands for power cables continue to increase. At the same time, processing LSOH materials remains technically demanding, particularly when higher output and stable processing are required.
Against this background, our R&D team took a closer look at how extrusion performance for LSOH materials could be improved without changing established processing conditions. The focus was on increasing output while keeping melt temperatures low, since this is a key factor, especially for ATH-filled LSOH polymers.
Up to 20 % more LSOH output with the same extruder size
The extrusion experts have developed a screw design that perfectly complements the newly implemented feeding section concept. The result is significantly higher productivity while maintaining high process stability and melt quality — all with the same extruder size.
